The Newcastle Warm Zone

Through this project CarbonNeutral Newcastle is helping to insulate the roofs 50,000 homes in Newcastle. This will save 50,000 tonnes of carbon a year and reduce the number of people suffering from fuel poverty. Over 20 years that’s 1 million tonnes of carbon emissions avoided!

Clean Energy

At Newbiggin Hall CarbonNeutral Newcastle has supported the installation of photovoltaic (PV) arrays on the roofs of 25 blocks of flats. This project produces clean, renewable, electricity that reduces the cost of electricity for local residents.

Tree Planting

CarbonNeutral Newcastle is supporting tree planting in three local forests: Bulmer Forest Park, Ouston Moor, and Merrybent. Through these projects 270 acres of woodland has been planted.
