Conference Travel Card
NewcastleGateshead Conference Bureau has teamed up with North East England transport operator Nexus to develop the conference destination’s first dedicated travel card for delegates.
The card allows delegates unlimited travel on the Tyne and Wear Metro system and NewcastleGateshead’s new yellow Quaylink buses which operate a frequent service around NewcastleGateshead’s iconic quayside area.
NewcastleGateshead is compact, accessible and easy to get around but is it now also great value. For just £2 per person, per day, delegates can travel as often as they like on the Metro and Quaylink using the new Conference Travel Card.
In October 2006, NewcastleGateshead was voted the number one UK city for its ‘ease of getting around’ by readers of Conde Nast’s Traveller magazine. This card allows delegates to take full advantage of the excellent transport links and make the most of their time in NewcastleGateshead.
Cards can be obtained through your conference organiser, and due to the flexible nature of the card, you can specify how many days you would like the card to be valid for, depending on the length of your event.
