Central Station and pass
St Nicholas' Cathedral on
Mosley Street and turn right down
Dean Street to reach
Newcastle Quayside and
The Guildhall Visitor Information Centre (15 minute walk). There’s a café inside and it’s a great place to pick up information on NewcastleGateshead’s family-oriented attractions. And, if you want some exercise which the whole family can enjoy then

Biking too strenuous? Then a 4 minute walk east along the Quayside and just past
Gateshead Millennium Bridge is the mooring for
River Escapes which offers a variety of sightseeing river cruises.

Seven Stories, The Centre for Children’s Books in the
Ouseburn Valley. This area is a 25 minute walk from Gateshead Millennium Bridge (collect a city map from The Guildhall Visitor Information Centre) or hop onto the
City Sightseeing Tour bus which stops outside the door.
